Yaya Toure is a Muslim soccer player who embraced Islam since birth, like his older brother, Kolo Toure. Yaya was born on May 13, 1983 and now playing in Barcelona as defensive midfielder. He became the first player from Ivory Coast, who plays for Barcelona. At Barcelona, there is two other Muslim soccer players beside Yaya Toure, they are Seydou Keita and Eric Abidal. Just like Kolo Toure, Yaya is also good to read Qur'an and often send donations for poor children in Côte d'Ivoire. Physical ability Yaya Toure has admitted, with great technique and clever ball control. He was named by Eurosport in 2005 as one of the most promising young players in the world.
Gnégnéri Yaya Touré (born 13 May 1983), commonly known as Yaya Touré, is an Ivorian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the Côte d'Ivoire national side. He plays with the name Touré Yaya on his jersey.
He is renowned for combining speed and physical power with technique and has 58 caps for Côte d'Ivoire, representing the team in their first appearance in a FIFA World Cup, in the 2006 competition as well as in 2010. He is the younger brother of his Côte d'Ivoire and Manchester City teammate Kolo Touré. He also has a younger brother named Ibrahim who currently plays for Egyptian side Makasa.
